CORNHOLE GAME PLAY INSTRUCTIONS:

Setup: Place the two boards 27 feet apart, facing each other. Each player or team stands behind one of the boards.

Game Play:

4 Players in two teams take turns tossing the bags at the opposite board, trying to get them through the hole or on the board. The bags can be thrown from either side of the board, and players can throw from anywhere behind the front of the board.

Scoring:

A bag that goes through the hole is worth three points, and a bag that lands on the board is worth one point. The score is calculated by subtracting the lower score from the higher score. For example, if one team scores two points and the other team scores one point, the first team would get one point for that round.

Winning:

The game is won by the first player or team to reach 21 points. However, the game can also be played to 11 or any other agreed-upon number.

Fouls:

A foul occurs when a player steps over the front of the board while throwing, throws out of turn, or throws a bag before the previous bag has come to rest. Fouls result in a loss of the bag and no points.

Optional rules:

Some players may choose to play with additional rules, such as requiring the bag to hit the board before going in the hole or requiring the player to throw with the opposite hand.
